Award-Winning Photographs from the Inaugural Flow Photography Festival 2017

The Flow Photography Festival is in its first year, and its inauguration will take place in September 2017. Flow Photofest celebrates the work of photographers from Scotland, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Flow Photofest opened on September 2nd in Inverness, and exhibitions will be displayed at more than nine venues throughout Scotland. A highlight of the photography festival is a photograph of a northern man by Ragnar Axelsson, who has traveled extensively through the Arctic to find people from the north. Another photographer, Sigga Ella, will exhibit 21 portraits of people with Down syndrome. The theme of the 2017 Flow Photofest is 'People and Place.' An ‘Open’ Flow competition will invite photographers to submit work based on the festival theme. The best photographs will be exhibited at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery during the festival. This unique festival will extend to locations throughout the Highlands & Islands, including premier venues such as An Lanntair in Stornoway and the Sawyer Gallery at Inverewe House.
