Indian Sculptor amazes the world with his life sized Terracotta Sculptures - Munuswamy
Munuswamy was born into an artistic family of sculptors. He hails from Puducherry, India, and has more than 40 years of experience as a sculptor. Due to his passion for sculpture, he discontinued his studies and started learning the art of sculpting from his parents. He owns a terracotta sculpture unit in Villianur. This allowed him to experiment with small and life-sized sculptures. Recently, he worked on a life-sized terracotta sculpture of Sir APJ Abdul Kalam. He conducts regular workshops for interested artisans. To date, he has trained more than 10,000 students. Many of his sculptures are installed in various schools in Puducherry. He is a proud recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. His terracotta sculptures have been showcased in both national and international exhibitions.
