The first Monster Hunter game was released on the PS4 in 2004 and, following its huge success in Japan, was made available on handheld devices. Since then, there have been many entries in the Monster Hunter series. Every game comes with a new set of weapons, locations, and evil-looking monsters. Monster Hunter Generations is a 3DS game developed by Capcom for Nintendo 3DS which was realeased on July 15, 2016(North America, Europe). It's a action packed single role-playing game, where you can venture upon quest after quest and you also have the option of multiplayer hub.

Monster Hunt generations have introduced a special weapon known as hunting arts. The Hunter(player) has to wait for the art to be charged to activate the moves. Once it's activated, hunter's have access to deadly weapons, healing aids and buffs. Likewise you also have "Hunting styles", where each wapon can have different kind of attack techniques. Apart from the regular monsters, four new powerful monsters and one extra village named Bherna is also included in the new game. Using both Hunter arts and Hunting Style, each hunter can customize his play style, which makes it interesting.
